Our foundry is located at P55 Beharap Road over in Belgachi. It’s an old part of the city and the roads can be a bit bumpy around here. We do metal casting, which is a process that hasn't changed much in a long time. It involves a lot of sand, heat, and heavy molds. The air inside the workshop is usually thick with the smell of the furnace. We have a crew that has been doing this for a long time; they really know how the metal flows. It’s not the kind of job where you can stay clean. By the time we finish a shift, everyone is covered in soot and dust. We have a small office near the front gate where we keep the records of the daily pours and shipments. It’s just a simple room with a wooden desk and a few chairs for visitors. We don't do any flashy advertising or anything. People who need castings usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve been coming to Belgachi for years. Sometimes the rain causes issues with the outdoor storage area, so we have to move things around quickly. It’s a tough business, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished part come out of a mold. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the furnace running smoothly for everyone.
