Autofab (India)

Autofab (India) is situated at 1/783, Nicholson Road, right by Kashmere Gate. If you know that area, you know it is incredibly crowded and noisy. There are people and vehicles everywhere at all hours. Our shop is right in the middle of it. We deal with automotive parts and fabrication work. It is a greasy, loud environment most of the time. Tools are usually lying around and the smell of metal and oil is always in the air. A polished waiting room doesn't exist here. Usually, people just stand by the counter or out on the sidewalk while we talk. It is a very hands-on business. Since we’ve been at Kashmere Gate for a long time, we know most of the other mechanics and shop owners nearby. Fancy marketing talk isn't our thing. If someone needs a part or something fixed, they get told if it's possible and what the cost will be. It is straight to the point. The building is old and the stairs are narrow. Our days are spent dealing with engines and chassis and heavy components. It is hard on the hands, but it’s what we know how to do. Instead of being a big factory, we are just a local operation on Nicholson Road trying to get the work done right so the vehicles keep running.
