Our place is at 6/1/B Kumarpara Road over in Liluah. We’re right there in Howrah, which has its own pace of life. Being developers means we spend a lot of time looking at land and thinking about how to fit buildings onto it. The office is pretty basic. We’ve got our desks and a small area where we sit down to talk things over. It’s not one of those polished places you see in the movies. There’s usually a bit of paper everywhere and the sound of the ceiling fan clicking. Liluah is a busy part of town, and we’re right in the middle of it. We deal with all the local permits and the headache of getting utilities set up. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we know. Most of us grew up around here or have lived in West Bengal for years, so we understand how the local system works. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy slogans for us. We just focus on the development projects we have going on. Some days we are out on site most of the time, and other days we are stuck inside doing the boring administrative stuff. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay on top of the schedule. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with different people, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it over time.
