D.S. Engineering

You can find D.S. Engineering over at 254/2 Panchanontolla Road. This road is always busy, so there is a constant sound of horns and people talking right outside our door. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, and the walls are covered in calendars from years ago that we never bothered to take down. It’s a workshop, so expect some oil stains on the floor and tools scattered across the benches. We spend most of our time fixing things or making small parts for customers who drop by. Usually, it’s just me and a couple of other guys working on the lathes. The lighting isn't the best in the back, so we do the precision stuff near the front window. People bring in all sorts of broken machinery and ask if we can get it running again. We don't promise miracles, we just look at the metal and see what can be done. It’s a simple setup. We have an old kettle for tea in the afternoons, which is usually when things slow down a little bit. The door stays open to catch whatever breeze comes off the street, though it mostly just brings in more dust. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the shop here on the road. Most of our work comes from people who live nearby or saw us while walking past and remembered they had something that needed fixing up.
