DELTA SPORTS

Our shop, DELTA SPORTS, is located at 69, 'X' Road in Netajigarh. It’s a modest place that has been serving the local community for a while now. When you step inside, you’ll see stacks of cricket bats, footballs, and all kinds of nets and gear crammed onto the shelves. It’s not one of those big, shiny retail stores you find in the malls. It’s a bit cramped, and sometimes you have to move a box of shuttlecocks just to see what’s behind it. We spend our days talking to coaches, physical education teachers, and kids who are looking for their first pair of decent shoes. The shop is usually a bit dusty because of the road outside, and the ceiling fans don't always do the best job of keeping us cool, but we like it here. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name. We don't really do much advertising; word usually just gets around that we have what people need for their weekend matches. Sometimes we are out back restringing a racket or pumping up a bag full of balls. It’s a simple life running a sports shop in Netajigarh. We aren't trying to be the biggest supplier in the country, we just want to make sure the local teams have their equipment when the season starts. It’s a lot of manual work and counting inventory. We just hope the gear lasts for a few good games. That is really all there is to it.
