Our place is at 233/3 Belilious Road. If you know this part of town, you know it’s famous for iron and engineering work. The street is always crowded with carts and people moving heavy parts. It’s a very old area and our building has been around for a long time. Inside, it’s quite dark and the walls are covered in years of dust and grease. We don't mind it; it’s just part of the job. We do a lot of basic metal work and trading. There are tools everywhere and the floor is never really clean for long. We don't have any fancy decorations. It’s a place for work, not for looking nice. We start early when the tea stalls nearby open up. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years. We don't really use computers much except for the basics. Most things are written down in ledgers or on scrap paper. It’s a bit chaotic to an outsider, but we know where everything is. The noise of the street comes right through the front, so it’s never quiet. We just keep doing what we’ve always done. It’s a traditional way of working, and we don't see any reason to change it. People come to us because they know we are here on the same road as always. We just keep our heads down and handle whatever comes our way today and try to finish before the sun goes down. It's a busy life.
