We are located on Sailo Kumar Mukherjee Road in Howrah. If you know the area, you know it gets very crowded with people and vehicles all day long. Our office is at number 64/1. We spend our days looking through resumes and talking to people who are looking for jobs. It is a lot of talking on the phone and trying to match people with what companies need. Howrah is a busy place and being right here helps us stay connected with the local workforce. The building isn't very new and we have a lot of files stacked up on the desks. We don't use fancy software for everything; sometimes a pen and a notebook work just as well. It’s noisy outside because of the traffic near the station, but we are used to it by now. We see a lot of different people every day, some looking for their first job and others who want a change. We don't promise anyone a dream life, we just try to find where they might fit. It’s a lot of practical work and we don't have time for big corporate speeches. We drink a lot of tea while we go through the applications. It's a small team here and we all do a bit of everything to keep things moving. West Bengal has a lot of people looking for work and we just try to help out as much as we can with the openings we have.
