Biman Bhadra

Biman Bhadra is based out of 11/1, Ram Lochan Shire Street over in the Belur Math area. It’s a quiet part of town compared to the city center and that suits the way things are run here just fine. The building is an older one and the street is narrow so you have to keep an eye out for the house number when you are coming by. I guess it's easy to miss. We don't have a huge staff or a big storefront with bright lights. It’s more of a personal setup where things move at a steady pace. Most of the work involves dealing with local requests and keeping the paperwork organized on the old wooden desk. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but they have been that color for years and nobody seems to mind much. Being so close to Belur Math means we see a lot of people passing through the general area but our street stays mostly calm. On rainy days the water tends to pool a bit near the doorstep so we have to be careful. We handle the daily tasks as they come and don't try to make things more complicated than they need to be. It is just a small local spot where the owner is usually around to answer the phone or talk to anyone who stops in. It’s a simple way of doing business and it has worked for us for a long time.
