Gurukirpa Travels

We’re located on the first floor over in Mukerian. It’s right near the Talwara Bus Stand, so there’s always people walking around and buses pulling in and out. Being on the first floor means you have to walk up some stairs, but it’s a bit quieter than being right on the street level. We look out the window and see the Hoshiarpur traffic all day long. It’s a small office, nothing too big. We do travel bookings and help people figure out their trips. It’s straightforward work. Sometimes the bus stand gets really crowded and the noise comes up through the windows, but it’s part of the charm of being in this area. We’ve been here for a while and most of the local drivers and shopkeepers know us. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything. It’s just a desk, a few phones, and some files. We keep things simple. If someone walks in, we stop what we’re doing and talk to them. There’s no waiting in long lines or dealing with automated machines. It’s just person-to-person. Sometimes we run out of forms or the printer acts up, but we figure it out eventually. That’s just how it goes when you run a small business in Mukerian. Gurukirpa Travels is just trying to make a living and help our neighbors get where they need to go without too much fuss. We stay open until the last bus routes are mostly settled for the day.
