Podar International School

The school is over here in Sirsa, specifically near Gate No 10 of the Shah Satnam Ji Girls’ school area. It is a place where kids spend most of their day from Monday to Saturday. When you walk in through the gate, you usually see the buses parked and some parents dropping off their daughters. Inside the building, things are pretty standard with benches and whiteboards in the rooms. We have been here for a while now and the locals know where we are located. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, but we try to keep the hallways swept. In the mornings, there is a lot of noise because the children are excited to see their friends. They carry heavy bags full of books and lunch boxes. During the winter, it gets quite cold in this part of Haryana, so everyone wears heavy sweaters. The playground is where the kids run around during their break time. We don't have fancy stuff, just what is needed for teaching and learning. The teachers go from room to room with their registers. Life here is mostly about following the timetable and making sure everyone is where they should be. It is just a regular school day most of the time. People from around Sirsa know the landmark. We just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss. The gate is always busy in the afternoon when school lets out and everyone heads home.
