Out here on Mamera Road in Ellenabad, things move at their own pace. We have got the Indian Public School set up here in Sirsa, and it has been part of the daily view for people around here for some time. Every morning, the road gets a bit crowded with cycles and parents dropping kids off. It is dusty work keeping a place like this clean, especially with the Haryana weather. We spend a lot of time just managing the day-to-day stuff. There are classrooms to look after and the playground out back that always needs some attention. The building is a simple one, nothing too loud or flashy about it. We just have our routine. The teachers arrive, the bell rings, and we start the day. Most of us have been working here together for a good bit, so we know how things go. It is not always easy, especially when it gets really hot in the summer and the fans are barely keeping up with the heat. But we stay on schedule. Ellenabad is a quiet enough place most of the time, and we like being on this side of town. People walk by and say hello. We do not do anything special, just the usual teaching and keeping the kids in line. By the time the final bell goes off, everyone is ready to head home. We lock up the gates and do it all again the next morning.
