Ranebennur Farmers Producer Company Limited operates out of the Kote Kuppelur area. We are located at Sanjeev R Katti’s place, which has become the main hub for our little group. Farming in this part of the country has its ups and downs. Most of us grew up in these fields around the post office area. We decided to start this company because it felt like the right time to work together instead of everyone just doing their own thing. It is hard to get everything right when you are on your own. We share ideas about which crops are growing best and how to deal with pests without spending a fortune. Our group isn't about big speeches or fancy offices. We mostly meet on the porch or in the sheds to discuss what needs to get done for the next harvest. The paperwork can be a headache, but having Sanjeev’s place as a base makes it a bit easier to manage. We are all local people from around Kote Kuppelur. We know each other's families and the history of the land here. It’s a lot of physical labor every day, but it feels better when you have a community behind you. We don’t promise anything big, we just try to get the harvest in and find a decent way to sell it. It’s just the reality of life in Ranebennur for us.
