We are located over at Bassapa Lingapareaddy’s place in Kadaramandalagi. If you know the Byadagi area, you know it is famous for the chillies, but we focus on the seed side of things here at Pheenix Hybrid Seeds. The office isn't anything fancy, just a practical space where we keep our records and meet with people from the nearby farms. Most days it is just us handling the paperwork and making sure the hybrid seeds are being tracked right. It gets pretty dusty out here when the tractors go by, but that is just part of being in a rural taluk. We spend a lot of time talking to the growers about how the last season went. Some days are slow, especially when the rains are late, and other times we can barely keep up with the questions people have. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. We’ve been here for a while now and most of the locals know where the house is. We don't really do much advertising because word of mouth usually does the job for us. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down over the fields. We just try to keep things honest and work hard every day.
