Krushisiri Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are the Krushisiri Farmer Producer Company Limited. Our location is over in Naikerur which is in Savanur taluk. It’s a rural area and we spend most of our time with the local farmers. The company was set up to help sell what we grow without too many middle people taking a cut. It’s hard work being out in the sun all day, so having a group helps. We handle different kinds of crops depending on the season. The office is pretty basic, just a place to keep the records and meet up. We don't have any shiny signs or anything. People just know where we are. Savanur is a good place for farming but the weather is always a worry. Last year was tough with the dry spell. We all try to look out for each other. Sometimes we have to travel to the markets to check prices. It’s not a desk job. Most days my boots are covered in mud. That’s just part of the life. We started this because we wanted to have more say in how our produce gets sold. It’s a lot of learning as we go. We aren't experts in business, just farmers trying to make a living. There’s always something to do, whether it’s sorting grain or fixing a tractor. We just keep at it day after day. Hopefully this year the rain is better for the corn and the millet.
