Ganga Valley Education Foundation

We are located at Plot No. 34 on the first floor in Vivekanandenclave. If you know the Laksar Road area in Jagjitpur, you’ll find us pretty easily. The building is right there near the main flow of traffic, so it gets a bit noisy during the day with the trucks and buses going by. We use the space for our foundation work, which mostly involves looking at how to improve local schooling. It’s not a very big office, just a couple of rooms with some tables and chairs. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to parents who stop in. The stairs up to the first floor can be a bit steep, but once you’re inside, it’s a decent place to work. We don't really go for the high-end office look. There are files everywhere and the tea kettle is usually running in the corner. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have a big team of executives. It’s just a few of us who care about how the kids in this part of town are learning. Most of our visitors come by because they live nearby or they’ve seen our name on the board outside. We try to keep things simple and helpful without a lot of unnecessary talk. It’s just our way of contributing to the neighborhood. We focus on the paperwork and the people, and that keeps our days pretty full. There is always someone coming or going through the enclave.
