About Dav Centenary Public School – Education in Haridwar
Most days start pretty early here in Kankhal. You’ll see the yellow buses making their rounds through the Haridwar streets before the sun is even fully up. At Dav Centenary Public School, we just try to keep things moving. There’s always a lot of noise in the corridors between classes, and the teachers are usually busy trying to get everyone to sit down and open their books. It’s a big building, and there is always something that needs fixing or a room that needs painting. We’ve been around for a while now, so some of the former students actually come back to drop off their own kids. That’s always a bit strange to see. The grounds get a lot of use during the sports periods, and you can hear the whistles from the main road. Sometimes it’s chaotic, especially when it rains and everyone is trying to stay dry under the awnings. We aren't trying to be fancy or anything. It's just a place where kids spend their day learning their math and science and maybe playing some football. We have our fair share of broken chalk and lost sweaters in the lost and found box. The staff room is usually full of half-finished tea cups and piles of notebooks waiting to be checked. It’s just how things go here in our corner of Haridwar. We show up, do the work, and hope the kids take something useful away with them.
