Wisdom International Public School

Our school is out on Salempur Road in Bahadrabad. If you know the Haridwar area, you know it can get pretty crowded, but out here it’s a bit more open. We started this place because there was a need for a school on this side of town. Every morning, the local rickshaws line up outside to drop off the kids. We have a decent-sized building, though we are always thinking about which corner needs a fresh coat of paint next. The teachers usually arrive a bit early to get their lessons sorted out before the assembly begins. It’s a lot of work keeping everything running, from the water coolers to the electricity backup. We see parents coming in and out all day, some worried about exams and others just checking in on their kids. The playground gets pretty dusty when the wind picks up, but the kids don't seem to mind much when they are playing. We’ve got a small library that’s usually a bit messy because the students actually use the books. Life here is mostly about the routine of the bells and the change of periods. It’s a practical place. We don’t go in for anything too flashy; we just focus on the daily lessons and making sure everyone is where they should be. By the time evening rolls around and the sun sets over Haridwar, the halls are finally quiet and we can finally clear our desks for the next day.
