Holy Angel Senior Secondary School

Holy Angel Senior Secondary School is set out in Majri Grant, right along the Haridwar-Dehradun National Highway-74 in the Rishikesh area. Being located on a national highway means we get a lot of trucks and cars passing by all the time, which can be a bit loud. But the view of the surrounding hills and the open air makes up for it. The school is a senior secondary one, so we have the older students who are finishing up their final years of schooling. The building is a large, spread-out structure that has been added onto over the years as we needed more space. We have a lot of students who come from the surrounding villages in the Uttranchal region. They often take the bus or get dropped off near the highway. The grounds are pretty basic, with some open space for the kids to hang out during their lunch hour. Inside, the classrooms are functional and nothing fancy. We have the usual labs for science and rooms for the different subjects. The weather can be a bit unpredictable here, getting quite cold in the winter months, so the students often wear thick sweaters over their uniforms. We do not have a lot of corporate polish here. It is just a school in a rural-ish setting where the focus is on the daily routine. We have got teachers who have been here for a long time and know the local landscape well. We just keep our heads down and do the work required.
