Sheetla Hair Saloon

Our little place, Sheetla Hair Saloon, is located at Shop No.2 on Tehshil Road in Dabra. It’s not a huge shop, but it fits what we need for the day. Being in Gwalior, it gets pretty hot during the summers, so we keep the fans going all day long. We deal with a lot of people passing through this part of town since the road is usually busy with traffic. We’ve got the basic setup for haircuts and shaves, nothing complicated or modern. Most of our regulars have been coming here for years. They know where to find us and they don't expect any bells or whistles. We just get to work when someone sits in the chair. Sometimes we have tea while waiting for the next person to show up. It's a quiet routine most days, but it keeps us busy enough. The shop is easy to spot if you are heading down towards the main part of Dabra. We try to keep the mirrors clean, though the dust from the road always finds its way in somehow. It's just a regular local business where we know most of the faces that walk in. We don't do appointments or anything like that, you just show up and wait your turn. It’s how it has always been since we started on Tehshil Road. If you're nearby and need a quick tidy up, the door is usually open.
