Shaan Mens Parlours

Shaan Mens Parlours is located over in Mayur Market. If you know where Thatipur is in Gwalior, then you probably know the area. We are quite close to the SBI Bank branch, which helps people find us if they are lost. The market gets quite crowded on weekends with people buying groceries and things. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just the sounds of scissors and maybe some news playing on a small TV in the corner. We spend most of the day standing on our feet. The address is Mayur Market, Thatipur, and we’ve been here long enough that the walls could probably tell a few stories. It’s a men's place, so the talk is usually about cricket or the weather. Sometimes it gets dusty because of the construction work nearby, but we try to keep the chairs clean. Gwalior can be very cold in the winters, so we keep the door shut then. In the summers, it's the opposite. People stop by after finishing their work at the bank or the other shops nearby. We don't have any big signs or anything, just the name on the front. It’s just a regular workplace for us. We start early, tidy up the combs and sprays, and wait for the first person to walk through the door. That's how it goes every single day here at our spot in Thatipur. It's just what we do.
