Priyanka Beauty Parlour & Training Center

Priyanka Beauty Parlour & Training Center is situated near the Rapat Bridge in the Kumharpura area of Morar, Gwalior. This place serves two purposes for us. First, it is a regular parlour where women from the neighborhood come to get their hair done or maybe some henna for a wedding. Second, we also use the space to teach others how to do this work. It’s not a huge fancy school, just a practical place where girls can learn the basics of threading, cutting hair, and makeup. The shop is right by the bridge, so it is a landmark most locals know. It can get a bit dusty with the traffic passing by Kumharpura, but we keep the inside as clean as we can. We have been here for some time, and it has become a bit of a gathering spot for the local ladies. There is always someone sitting and waiting or someone practicing their skills on a mannequin head. We don't have a corporate structure or any polished brochures. We just show people what we know. The walls have some old photos of hairstyles, and the furniture is simple but gets the job done. Gwalior is where we belong, and this shop is how we contribute to the community here. It’s hard work, especially during the wedding season when everyone is in a rush, but we just take it one day at a time.
