Prince Mama Da Dhaba

Prince Mama Da Dhaba is out here in New Chandova. We are right on the A B Road in Gwalior. If you know the Bela Ki Bawari area, you will find us easily enough. Being on the highway means we see a lot of people just passing through. It's the kind of place where you stop because you're tired of driving and need some food. We have been here for a good while. The A B Road is a long stretch, and there’s always trucks and buses rolling by day and night. It gets pretty dusty sometimes with all the traffic. We don't have any air conditioning or fancy chairs. It’s a dhaba, so it’s meant to be simple. We cook what people like and we serve it hot. My family helps out with everything from the kitchen to sitting at the front. Gwalior can get very hot in the summer, so the shade here is usually a relief for travelers. We see regulars who drive this route every week, and we see families on vacation too. It’s not a polished restaurant like you’d find in the city center. We just do things our way without any fuss. Bela Ki Bawari is a decent landmark for us. We open early to catch the morning crowd and stay open late for the night drivers. It’s just honest work on the side of the road and we keep it that way.
