Anand Bhoj Restaurant

Our restaurant is on Race Course Road in Gwalior, not too far from the railway station. If you’re staying at Hotel Safari or just getting off a train, you’ve probably walked past us. We get a lot of people who are just passing through and need something to eat before their next journey. It’s a busy spot, and things can get a bit chaotic during the lunch hour when the station crowd arrives all at once. The floor gets a bit scuffed from all the bags people carry in, but we try to mop it whenever there's a quiet moment. We aren't much for decorations; we just have simple tables and chairs that do the job. My wife and I started this place because we wanted to work for ourselves. The kitchen can get quite hot in the summer, but the fans keep the dining area okay. We don't have a fancy menu with things we can't pronounce. It’s just the food we know how to cook well. Sometimes we run out of things if the supply truck is late, that's just part of the business. We’re at 474001, right in the thick of things. You can always hear the train whistles from here. It’s a noisy, lively place to be, and we’re just happy to be a part of the daily routine for people traveling through Gwalior and the locals who live nearby.
