Our office, Pems Engineering Consultants Pvt Ltd, is on the first floor of Plot No.553. We are located in Phase V, Sector 19. It is an industrial kind of area, so there are always trucks moving around and the sound of construction nearby. To get to us, you have to walk up a narrow set of stairs that can be a bit steep. Inside, it is mostly just a bunch of tables covered in large drawings and technical papers. We have some computers that stay on all day and the room is usually filled with the sound of clicking mice and hushed talking. Sector 19 isn't the fanciest part of town, but it is where a lot of the real work happens. We spend our hours looking at details and trying to figure out how things fit together. There is usually a pot of tea going in the corner because the days can get quite long. Sometimes the light through the windows is too bright and we have to pin up paper to block it out. We aren't big on decorations or anything like that. It’s just a place where we come to do our jobs and then head home. The building is older, so the plumbing sometimes makes noise, but we don't mind. We've been in this spot for some time and it suits the way we work. It’s a practical space for practical engineering.
