If you are looking for us, we are over in Palam Vihar at H-644. This part of Gurgaon has changed a lot over the years, but our spot has stayed pretty much the same. It is a private limited setup here, and we mostly deal with the internal side of things for Bechtel in India. The office isn't anything too special to look at, just a functional space where we keep our files and meet up for morning briefings. We have a few plants near the window that someone remembers to water every other day. The street outside can get a little crowded with cars, so parking is always a bit of a puzzle for the staff. We spend a lot of time on calls with other offices, so there is a lot of chatter going on throughout the day. The walls are a plain off-white color and we have some old maps pinned up. It feels like a real workplace where people actually do things, rather than a showroom. We get our lunch from the local shops nearby most of the time, which is nice because the food around Palam Vihar is actually pretty good. It’s just a regular group of people trying to keep on top of the paperwork and making sure the project details are correct. No one wears suits unless there is a very specific reason to. It is a relaxed but busy atmosphere.
