Bechtel India Pvt Limited is located at House No. 314 in Sector 4, Urban Estate, Gurgaon. This is a fairly quiet residential-style neighborhood, which makes it a nice place to come to every morning. It’s not like being in those huge skyscrapers where you never see the sun. Here, we are in a regular house that we’ve converted into our workspace. It’s got a bit of a lived-in feel to it. We aren't the type of place that cares about looking corporate or overly professional. We care more about just getting our work finished. Most of us have been working here at 314 for a good while, so we know the local shops and the guys who deliver our lunch. The streets in Sector 4 are usually lined with trees, which is a nice change from the concrete of the rest of the city. We don't have any big mission statements or anything like that on the walls. Mostly just calendars and some notes pinned up. It’s a practical way to run things. We find that being in Urban Estate keeps us away from the worst of the Gurgaon traffic, though it can still be a bit of a crawl during rush hour. We are just a small team of people trying to do a good job from our base here in Gurgaon. It’s a simple, honest setup, and we keep things pretty grounded day to day.
