Sec-10A is a decent spot, and Lions Public School has been tucked away here for quite some time. You can’t really miss it if you live in this sector. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We don’t go in for anything too flashy. Most days involve making sure the registers are filled out and the benches are in rows. The staff room gets pretty loud during the breaks with everyone talking about their commute or what they’re having for lunch. We have a lot of old trees around the perimeter which helps with the shade during those hot Gurgaon months. People in the neighborhood know the sound of our bells. It marks the time of day for some of the residents. We don’t have a big corporate office telling us what to do; it’s just us here on the ground. We deal with leaky taps and missing chalk just like any other place. Some of the desks have been around for years and have names scratched into them. It’s a bit lived-in, but that’s because a lot of life happens here every day. We just try to keep the place organized and the routine steady. It’s not always easy, especially when it rains and the roads in Sec-10A get a bit flooded. We just put on our boots and get to work anyway, making sure the day proceeds as usual for everyone inside the building. It’s just how we operate.
