Saraswati Senior Secondary School

Saraswati Senior Secondary School is way out here at the 24 km mark in Guriani, near Kosli. Most people around Rewari know how quiet it can get out this way, but the school gets pretty loud once the buses arrive. We’ve been here for a while now, just running things day by day. The building isn't anything fancy, just standard brick and paint, but it does the job for the kids coming in from all the nearby villages. Usually, the mornings start with everyone scrambling to get to their seats before the bell. It gets dusty in the summer, and the winters here in Haryana can be a bit biting, but we just keep the heaters going where we can or tell the students to bundle up. It’s mostly just us teachers and the office staff trying to keep the schedule moving. We deal with the usual stuff like broken desks or fixing the fans when they stop working in the heat. It’s a lot of work managing the older students, especially since they are getting ready for their board exams and they're always a bit stressed. We just try to make sure they have a place to sit and learn without too much trouble. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a local school doing what schools do. People around here know us by name, and that’s how it’s always been.
