About Salwan Public School – Education in Gurugram
We’ve been here in Sector 15 Part 2 for a while now. If you walk past Salwan Public School in the morning, you’ll see the yellow buses pulling in and parents dropping off their kids before heading to work. Gurgaon is always busy, but inside these gates, things follow a different rhythm. There’s the sound of the bell every forty minutes or so. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place running, fixing chairs, and making sure the fans work during those really hot summer months. The playground gets pretty dusty when the wind picks up, but that’s just how it is here. Most of us who work here have been around for years, so we know the local shops and the regular traffic jams on the main road quite well. It’s not a fancy setup, just a solid building with lots of windows and some trees that we try to keep green. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is pretty normal for this part of town. The teachers usually gather in the staff room for a quick tea break between classes. We don’t really do anything flashy; it’s just about getting through the day and making sure the kids have what they need for their lessons. It’s a lot of paperwork and basic daily chores, but it feels right being part of the neighborhood where many of us also live.
