Holy Hearts School is located right in Essel Tower on MG Road. If you know Gurgaon, you know how packed MG Road can get. Being in a high-rise area like this means our view is mostly of other buildings and the metro line. It’s a bit of a different setup for a school, being in such an urban spot. We have to deal with the lift queues and the security at the gates, which can be a bit of a chore some mornings. The school itself is a collection of rooms where we do our teaching. It’s not like a traditional school with a huge open field, but we make use of what we have. The hallways are narrow, and you’ll often hear the echoes of kids laughing or teachers explaining a math problem. We spend a lot of time making sure everyone gets in and out safely given how busy the location is. The staff room is pretty small, usually crowded with teachers having a quick lunch between classes. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decor; it’s mostly just functional furniture and student work pinned to the doors. It feels very much like a part of the modern Gurgaon lifestyle—efficient and tucked into a busy space. We just show up, do our work with the students, and head home into the MG Road traffic like everyone else. It is a bit hectic, but we manage to keep a steady routine going day after day.
