Holy Heart Preparatory School

Holy Heart Preparatory School is tucked away in the Old Dlf Colony at Nm 28. If you know Gurgaon, you know this area has a different feel than the newer parts with all the glass buildings. It’s more quiet and residential here, which suits a prep school. We mostly deal with the little ones, so our days are filled with a lot of spilled glue, crayon drawings, and the sound of kids singing songs. The building itself is older, and we’ve had to fix the plumbing more times than I care to count. But it has a bit of character. There’s a small area where the kids play, and we try to keep the grass trimmed, though it doesn’t always stay green. Most of the people working here have been around for years, and we’ve seen siblings from the same families come through our doors. It’s not a high-tech facility. We use physical books and wooden blocks. Sometimes the bell doesn't ring exactly on time because we’re busy helping a child tie their shoelaces. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don't spend much time on the computer; we're usually on the floor or at the small desks. It’s just a local school for the neighborhood kids to get their start before they move on to the bigger institutions in the city. Most afternoons end with us finding stray crayons under the furniture after everyone has left.
