Holy Flower English Higher School

Being out in Sector 82 of Gurgaon means we’ve seen a lot of construction lately. Holy Flower English Higher School sits at J-1/73, and it feels like the neighborhood is growing up right alongside our students. The mornings are always a bit rushed. Teachers come in, often complaining about the traffic on the way to the sector, and the kids are usually running around the gate before we even open. It’s a regular English medium school, nothing over the top. We have our classrooms, the blackboards that never seem perfectly clean, and a lot of noise during the lunch hour. We don’t have a massive budget for decorations, so we just stick up the kids’ drawings on the walls. It makes the place feel a bit more like home. Some days are harder than others, especially when the weather gets really hot and everyone just wants to go home. We keep the water coolers filled and try to stay on top of the daily lessons. It’s a lot of work keeping a school running in this part of Gurgaon. You have to deal with the dust from the new buildings and the occasional power cut. But we’ve been here for a while now, and we know the families around here. It’s just a normal place where children come to get their schooling done. We aren't fancy, just dedicated to the day-to-day routine of teaching.
