Our place is AA/09 in Kendriya Vihar, Sector-56, Gurgaon. If you know the area, it’s a big residential complex, so it feels more like a home than a stiff office. We handle capital investment and management stuff here at Vkarma. It sounds complicated, but mostly it’s just us looking at numbers and talking to people about their money. We have a few desks set up in the main room and a small space for meetings that usually ends up being used for lunch. Gurgaon can be a very shiny and corporate city, but our corner in Sector-56 is a lot more relaxed. We don't have a fancy glass building. We just have a regular office where the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. The staff here is small, and we all know each other well. We don't use much industry jargon when we talk. We just explain things simply and get the paperwork filed. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we take the stairs. It’s not a high-pressure environment with people shouting into phones. It’s more of a quiet, steady pace. We deal with the day-to-day tasks of managing investments without making a big fuss about it. We’ve been here for a bit now and we just like the practical way we do things in this neighborhood. There is no reason to overcomplicate things when a simple approach works just fine.
