Rajdhani Tent House

Rajdhani Tent House is located right on the Khandsa Pataudi Road, which is a very busy place to be. There is a constant stream of trucks and cars going past our front gate, and it feels like the noise never really stops. We have big stacks of iron poles and folded-up tent fabrics piled high in the back. It is a lot of hard work loading those heavy wooden stages and rolls of carpet onto the trucks every time there is a function. The dust from the Pataudi Road settles on everything, so we have to spend a lot of time shaking out the linens and cleaning the plastic chairs. During the wedding season, nobody here gets much sleep. We are usually out in some field at three in the morning trying to get a canopy up before the sun comes out. The workers are always tired, and the office is just a small room with a fan and a bunch of old calendars on the wall. We do not do much advertising; people just see our trucks or stop by because they know where we are. It is a messy business with all the ropes and the heavy canvas, but we have been doing it this way for a long time. The yard is usually full of activity, and there is always someone fixing a torn piece of fabric or painting a pole.
