Chawla Tent House

Chawla Tent House is based out of Sikanderpur, right near MG Road. If you know this area, you know how crazy the traffic can get. We’ve been doing this for a long time, providing tents and chairs for all sorts of gatherings. Our warehouse is usually a jumble of poles, fabrics, and stacked furniture. It looks like chaos to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is. We spend most of our time out at different locations setting things up. It’s physical work, especially when the weather isn’t helping. We’ve worked through heatwaves and sudden downpours. MG Road is always changing, with new buildings going up all the time. We remember when it looked completely different. Our team is small, mostly guys who have been with us for years. We don’t use any fancy apps to manage our bookings, just a big old ledger where we write everything down. Sometimes we lose a pen or two in the process. People usually find us because their cousins or neighbors used us before. We don't spend money on big signs. The work speaks for itself, I guess. It’s a lot of loading and unloading trucks at odd hours. We might be tired at the end of a big event, but seeing everything put together is a good feeling. We’re just local people helping other local people with their functions. It’s a busy life but we’re used to it.
