Dara Village is where you will find us if you’re looking for Plot No.335. It is tucked away in New Delhi-74, which isn't the part of the city people usually think of when they hear about the capital. It’s a bit more grounded here. We’ve got this space set up for Tahiliani Design Pvt.Ltd. and it serves its purpose. The walls are a plain color and we have some old metal desks that have been around longer than some of the staff. Getting here in the morning involves a bit of a commute, but once the doors are open and the fans are spinning, it feels like a proper workspace. We don't really do much in the way of decorating because we are too busy with the actual work. There’s a tea stall not far from the gate where we get our chai. The neighbor’s dog usually barks when a delivery truck pulls up to the plot. It’s a simple setup. We deal with a lot of paperwork and samples. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, but we just wipe it down and keep going. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just show up at this address every day and do what needs to be done. It’s quiet enough that we can focus, which is a nice change from the noisier parts of the city. We keep a few chairs for guests but mostly it’s just us.
