If you know Rajiv Nagar, you know how busy New Mata Road can get in the evenings. That’s where we are. Sonu Communication is just a small spot where people come when their phone acts up or they need a new SIM card. I spend most of my day looking at small screens and trying to fix buttons that don't click anymore. It's a lot of fine work. My back usually hurts by five o'clock. We have people coming in all the time asking for the cheapest screen protectors or cables that won't break in a week. I try to tell them you get what you pay for, but they don't always listen. It's a loud street, lots of horns and people shouting, but you get used to it after a month. We keep a chair out front for when things are slow. Sometimes my nephew comes by to help out when he's not in school. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name and some posters in the window. It’s a simple shop. If someone has a problem with their recharge, they come to me and I sort it out. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here, just helping the neighborhood stay connected. The tea stall next door makes the best chai, which helps get through the long afternoons when the sun is hitting the storefront. We just do our bit.
