Soni Cell Phone

Our little shop, Soni Cell Phone, is right on MG Road in the Sikandarpur area. If you know that part of town, you know it is always moving. There are people everywhere and the traffic never seems to stop. We have a small counter where we handle all the phone stuff. People come in with cracked screens or batteries that won't charge anymore. It’s a small space, so it gets a bit tight when more than three people are inside at once. We don't have a big corporate setup. It’s just a counter, some stools, and a lot of tiny screwdrivers. MG Road is a good place to be because someone is always needing something for their mobile. We spend a lot of time peering through magnifying glasses and trying to find tiny parts. Sometimes we have to tell people a phone can't be fixed, but we try our best first. It’s noisy outside with the metro and the cars, but we get used to the sound. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change a lot. But we just keep doing what we do. We aren't trying to be the biggest store. We just want to fix the phones that come across the counter. It’s a decent living and we get to meet all sorts of people every day.
