I started this shop here in Badshapur Main Sohna Road because I knew the area well. It's right in the Patwari Market, which is usually a mess of people and bikes. We deal with all sorts of phone things every day. People come in because their screen cracked or they can't get their internet to work. Most of the time it’s simple stuff but sometimes it takes a while. We aren't a big fancy showroom with air conditioning that works all the time. It's just a counter and some stools. My brother helps out when things get too busy in the evenings. The traffic on Sohna Road is always loud, so we have to talk a bit louder to be heard. We’ve seen the market change a lot. Newer shops open up but we stayed right here in the same spot. It’s a lot of work keeping up with all the new phone models coming out every month. Sometimes I feel like I'm just learning one thing and then something else arrives. We don't have any big promises to make. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first customer. It's a living. We know most of the people who walk past our door. If you live around Badshapur, you've probably seen our sign. It's not a big life, but it's ours and we keep things running as best as we can.
