Getting to our spot in Bhagirath Place through Chandni Chowk is an adventure every single day. If you know Gali No 11 on Main Brij Puri Road in Mustafabad, you know it’s always crowded with rickshaws and people carrying boxes. We handle Samsung stuff here, mostly mobile phones and electronics that people bring in. The shop is small and the walls are covered with posters and shelves of chargers. It’s usually pretty hot in the summer, even with the fans going full blast. We spend a lot of time looking at small screens and trying to figure out why things aren't turning on. People come in from all over the neighborhood, sometimes just to ask a question about their settings. We don't have a lot of space for people to sit, so they usually stand around while we check their devices. It gets pretty loud with the street noise right outside the door. Sometimes we have to shout just to be heard over the horns. The work is steady though. We start around ten in the morning and stay until late evening when the street lights come on. It’s a long day, but we like being in the middle of all that energy. Dealing with technology can be frustrating for people, so we just try to take it one customer at a time and get the repairs done when we can.
