Priya Tent House

We have been setting up tents and stages around Khandsa Road 177 for a long time now. It’s a family-run thing mostly. When there is a wedding or some local function, people just come over and tell us how many chairs they need or what kind of lighting they are thinking about. We have the usual stuff like colorful drapes, carpets, and those big water coolers for the summer months. It gets really busy during the marriage season, so the yard is usually a mess of pipes and folded cloth. We try to get everything loaded onto the rickshaws or trucks early so nothing is late. Sometimes the weather plays up and we have to rush to fix things, but that is just part of the job here. We aren't a big fancy company with a website or anything like that. Just some local guys who know how to tie a knot and make a temporary shed look decent enough for a party. If you walk past Khandsa Road, you'll see our stacks of chairs outside. We also do small religious gatherings and birthday setups if someone asks. It's hard work, especially lifting the heavy poles in the sun, but we've gotten used to it over the years. We keep our gear in the back and just keep track of things in a notebook. It’s straightforward work. No big talk, just getting the tent up before the guests arrive.
