Pratham Mobile

We set up Pratham Mobile at Bhargav Palace, number 66, right on New Railway Road. It’s a good spot because people are always walking by on their way to the station or the shops. We mostly sell mobile phones and all the little things that go with them, like cases and screen guards. It’s not a huge shop, just enough room for a few glass counters and some stools. We spend a lot of time applying tempered glass for people who dropped their phones. It’s a delicate job but we’ve done it so many times now it’s second nature. The traffic on New Railway Road can be quite something, so there’s always noise coming in from the street. We’re just regular folks trying to make a living. We don’t go in for big sales pitches. Usually, someone comes in with a broken charging port or they want a cheap second-hand phone, and we see what we can do. It’s mostly just us behind the counter. We’ve seen a lot of different phone models come and go over the years. Some are better than others. We try to tell people the truth about which brands last longer. It’s not about being the biggest store in town, just being the one where people feel okay stopping in. We keep our hours steady and hope for the best each day as we open up the shutters.
