Prakash Tents House

If you go down to Shop Number 7 in New Colony, right near the Post Office, that is where you’ll find Prakash Tents House. It’s not a big showroom or anything like that. It’s more like a storage space filled with heavy rolls of fabric, metal poles, and stacks of plastic chairs. Most of our work happens outside the shop, out in the open where we set things up for weddings or local functions. It’s heavy work, moving all that gear around in the Gurgaon sun. My hands are usually a bit rough from handling the ropes and the canvas. We’ve been near the Post Office for a long time, and people just drop by when they have something coming up in the family. We don't have a website or fancy brochures to show people. Usually, we just talk through what they need and see what we have in the back. Sometimes the fabric gets a little dusty from being in the warehouse, but we give it a good shake before it goes out. It’s a simple business. We just make sure the tents stay up even when it’s windy. New Colony is a tight neighborhood, so everyone knows where we are. We spend our days loading trucks and then unloading them again later. It’s just honest work with our hands, day in and day out, helping people get their events covered without any fuss or high costs.
