We’re located on the third floor of Orchid Square, over in B-Block of Sushant Lok. It’s a decent building, though the elevator can be a bit moody on Mondays. Since we’re up on the third floor, we get a bit of a view of the street, which is mostly just people trying to find parking spaces. The office itself is mostly open-plan, so it gets a bit noisy when everyone is on the phone at the same time. We work on informatics, which basically means we spend a lot of time looking at data and trying to make sense of it for people. It’s quiet work for the most part, punctuated by the sound of the printer or someone laughing in the break area. We don’t have a big sign outside or anything like that. We’ve been here long enough that people who need us know where we are. The carpets are a bit worn out in the hallway, and the desks are cluttered with old notebooks and coffee mugs. It feels lived-in, which is better than those sterile offices you see in magazines. We usually stay late when there’s a big project, and the building gets really quiet then. It’s just us and the humming of the servers. It’s a steady kind of life, and we’re happy to be doing it here. It is just a group of people working together in a regular office space.
