Our little shop is tucked away in Saini Market, right on the Old Railway Road in Subhash Nagar. It is a very crowded part of town, so there is never a quiet moment with all the horns honking and people walking by. We mainly do mobile recharges and fix phones that have been dropped or stopped working for no reason. The glass counter is full of different cables and cheap earphones that people always seem to be looking for. It is a small space, so if three customers come in at once, it feels completely full. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit and work on the circuit boards with a magnifying glass. The smell of the soldering iron is pretty much always in the air. People from the neighborhood stop by not just for their phones, but sometimes just to ask for directions or check the time. We have been in this spot for a long time, so we know most of the other shopkeepers around Saini Market. It is a bit of a scramble sometimes when the internet goes down and we can't process the recharges, but we usually get it sorted out eventually. We just keep the doors open and wait for whoever needs their phone fixed or their balance topped up. It is just a basic neighborhood shop, nothing more and nothing less.
