You can find us at S-12 in the Central Plaza Mall over in Sector 53, Gurgaon. Being in a mall is interesting because the atmosphere changes depending on the time of day. In the mornings, it is very quiet, almost echoing, while we set up for the day at India Unexplored. By the afternoon, there is music playing from the speakers in the corridor and people walking by our glass front. Our space is filled with maps and notes about different places. It’s not a huge office, just a cozy spot where we plan out routes and look at photos. We have a couple of old chairs for when people want to sit and talk. The mall has a lot of coffee shops, so we are never short on caffeine. Sometimes the mall security comes by for a chat. We’ve been in Sector 53 for a bit now and it feels like a good fit. The office has a lot of natural light coming in from the mall's atrium, which makes the long hours a bit easier. We don't have any slick marketing displays in the window, just a few things that show what we are working on. It’s a plain, honest workspace. We spend our time checking details and making sure everything is in order. It’s a lot of logistical work that people don’t usually see, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without fail.
