Dronacharya Institute Of Engineering

Dronacharya Institute of Engineering is situated in Khentawas, which is a part of Farukhnagar. It’s a very rural setting, surrounded by fields and open space. You have to drive down some narrow roads to get here. The campus has a very functional feel to it. We have the engineering labs, some lecture halls, and a basic library. It’s not the kind of place with marble floors or glass walls. It’s all brick and mortar and painted walls that have seen many years of students. I’ve worked here for a bit, and it’s mostly about the routine. The students come in from the nearby villages and some from further away in Haryana. They mostly wear their uniforms and carry heavy bags. During the winter, it gets quite cold, so everyone wears thick sweaters. In the summer, the ceiling fans are always humming at full speed. We don't have any big marketing team or anything like that. We just have the teachers and the office staff who handle the paperwork. Sometimes the local farmers pass by with their tractors near the gate. It’s a very local atmosphere. We focus on the syllabus and the exams. There’s a small area where kids play sports when they aren't in class. It’s a plain, simple place to study engineering without any of the extra fluff you find in big city colleges. We just keep things moving one day at a time. It’s a quiet life here in Khentawas.
