Diju Da Dhaba

Huda Market in Sector 23 is always a bit chaotic but that’s where you’ll find us at shop number 49. Diju Da Dhaba is basically what the name says. We are a dhaba in the middle of Gurgaon. We don't have air conditioning that works perfectly all the time and the seating is just basic tables and chairs. But people come here for the food and the atmosphere. You’ll see guys from the nearby offices sitting next to laborers and families. We make a lot of dal makhani and tandoori rotis every single day. The kitchen is always hot and you can hear the pans clanking from the street. We use the same recipes we’ve had since we opened. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when the lunch crowd hits all at once but we do our best to keep up. We don't do fancy plating or use garnish that you can't eat. It’s just plates of hot food served quickly. Sector 23 is a busy residential and commercial mix so there’s always someone looking for a meal that feels like home. We’ve been here for years and the market has grown a lot but we’re still in the same spot doing the same thing. Just honest cooking for people who are hungry. We try to keep the prices low so anyone can come in and eat their fill without worrying. It’s a loud, busy place but it has a lot of heart.
