Apple Imagine Store

Apple Imagine Store is situated on M G Road 37. Even though the name sounds a bit big, we are just people working here in the middle of a very crowded part of the city. The store has big glass windows that we have to wipe down constantly because of all the fingerprints and the dust from the street outside. Inside, it’s mostly white and grey, and it feels a bit cold compared to the heat on the sidewalk. We spend the day helping people understand their gadgets or showing them how to use a new feature. There are always people coming in just to look around or to ask why their battery is dying so fast. We have the devices laid out on the tables, and sometimes the cables get a bit tangled up by the end of the day. The traffic on MG Road is pretty bad, so we hear a lot of sirens and honking through the glass. We have a small break room in the back where we keep our bags and have a quick lunch. It’s a lot of standing and talking to different people. Some know exactly what they want, and others are just confused by the technology. We try to keep a straight face and help out. It’s not our own shop, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like it. It’s just another day of managing the store and waiting for the shift to end.
