Our spot is Shop number 7 in the Jain Market inside Sadar Bazar. It is a small place for Aircel work, but we make it work. The market is incredibly tight, so you are always bumping into people if you step outside the door. Inside the shop, we have posters on the walls and a counter where we help people with their mobile connections and recharges. It’s often quite loud because of the noise from the other shops in Jain Market. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit when it’s on high speed, but it keeps us cool enough. I spend most of my time looking at forms or typing numbers into the system. Sometimes the system is slow and we just have to wait and talk to the customer about the weather or the traffic. We don't have a big waiting area, just a couple of stools that are starting to lose their padding. Most people are in a hurry anyway. We see all kinds of people coming through Sadar Bazar every day. It is a busy life and the hours go by fast when there is a line of people waiting. We don't use any fancy talk or try to sound like a big company. We are just a local shop in a crowded market trying to help people get their phones working. When the sun goes down, the market gets even busier before we finally close up and head back home to our families for the night.
